Our Mission
We believe that broadband Internet is the "dial tone" of the Twenty-First century and that it is vital for the economic and social health of Tuolumne County. The mission of Network Sierra is to facilitate the availability of affordable broadband Internet access to all of Tuolumne County and to advocate for residents and businesses whose access is currently non-existent, insufficient or cost-prohibitive.
Organization
Network Sierra is a community-based organization of concerned citizens and is not an Internet Service Provider (ISP). We encourage participation by all local, regional and national ISPs to meet the needs of our communities. Network Sierra is an information resource for broadband Internet access, including technical consulting on existing options and on implementing alternative technologies.

Additional Information
Future broadband development in our region is being actively pursued by the Central Sierra Connect project. The long-term goal of this project is to make available ubiquitous broadband to all rural communities in our region through the aggregation of users, engagement of providers and potential users, simplification of county and municipal policies and outreach to the unserved members of the community.
